Ok so after all the crashes last week, we’ve figured that the following command is CRASHING the websites:

sudo apt get update

That’s a problem as even I know we have to run this command.

We are stumped can anyone help?

Define “crashing”.

can you explain us what exactly crashing ? apache / nginx / mysql / OS ?? what ?

give me the output from the following files

/var/log/apt/term.log
/var/log/apt/history.log

Ok so we’ve fixed it. We were able to run the sudo update and it worked (the websites resolved cheaptextbooks dot com etc.).

I am 90%+ sure the issue was due to logging in on the wrong ip.

Thank you for responding @Woet, @aysadx and @lampreyOne.
