Hi, i’m trying to point a domain name to my node api server with nginx and i already can access via http://MY-IP, but with my domain name i can’t.
Checked via whatsmydns.net and is already pointed
Already allowed port 80, ‘HTTP Nginx’ via UFW.
Here my /etc/nginx/sites-available file
server {
listen 80 default_server;
listen [::]:80 default_server;
server_name HERE-I-PUT-MY-DOMAIN;
location / {
proxy_pass http://localhost:3333;
proxy_http_version 1.1;
proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
proxy_set_header Connection 'upgrade';
proxy_set_header Host $host;
proxy_cache_bypass $http_upgrade;
}
}
Here my netstat -tulpen | grep 80
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 0 37043 1718/nginx: master
tcp6 0 0 :::80 :::* LISTEN 0 37044 1718/nginx: master

Hi there,
Once you add an A record for your domain name to point to the Droplet it could take up to 24 hours for the DNS cache to be cleared over the Globe before you could see the changes.
You can use this tool here to check your DNS records:
https://www.digitalocean.com/docs/networking/dns/
Let me know how it goes. Regards, Bobby
