DigitalOcean Managed MySQL Database

I host a script on heroku but they dont provide their IP so i need to allow all on digitalocean.

I tried 0.0.0.0/0 which changed to “AllIPv4” when i entered it but when i click save, it gives me the error: “The prefix (the number following the slash) cannot be less than 10.”.

Any help is appreciated!

  • If you is using MySQL you can use % to represent “all”

    GRANT ALL ON mydb.* TO myuser@’%’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘my_password’;

    “The prefix (the number following the slash) cannot be less than 10.”

    Looks like a validation error from ufw

  • You add IP addresses in the DO dashboard so i’m not sure if doing this would work.

I think that if you don’t specify any IP addresses and leave the allow list empty it would mean that the traffic to the database cluster would be allowed for everyone.
