I have a digitalocean account ,and digitalocean gave me a vps_ip,i hava no domain name to use. Can i build an email server without domain name ,just with my vps_ip? How to make the task done?

Thats possible, but all mails you send will go to spam. Google is your big friend…
Yes, as per my knowledge you can build an email server without a domain name with your vpsip. But may I know the reason why you wish to do so? But I agree with CrypticDesigns.
