Can I host a wix site on Digital Ocean?

So currently I have a domain on my wix site and I don’t know how to transfer it to Digital Ocean .

Hi @tsaicharan03,

Unfortunately, wix has a custom platform and as far as I know the files in it are not transferable. If you want to host a website with DigitalOcean, you’ll need to build a website with some CMS like WordPress on a droplet you’ve created.

If you do wish to continue with a WordPress droplet, I’ll recommend checking out this application

As for the wix website, you won’t be able to transfer anything over from it except maybe if you have any products added to it.

    Can I not do this by putting a domain that directs to Go Daddy and then link it to WIX?

      Hi @tsaicharan03,

      If your domain is registered with GoDaddy you can control everything from there. The most important think is your Nameservers, they tell the world where your DNS are configured.

      Can you confirm exactly what you want to do as I got a little confused? Do you want to have your Domain point to Wix or you want to have your website from Wix moved to DigitalOcean?
