Question

can't access whm with generated temp root session

I have a droplet set up with the one-click whm/cpanel platform. All was well until today - the temp session created when I log in via ssh no longer works in any browser. The login requires credentials, and nothing I have works. Also all my cpanel subdomain logins no longer work. I’ve restarted the droplet, and can ssh in to the droplet. The various web sites are up and working, but I can’t login in to whm, cpanel, webmail etc. Any ideas why?

Hi @jmorley,

When you try and enter what error do you see?

It’s possible for the license of cPanel and WHM to have expired. cPanel is a third-party application managed through DigitalOcean’s Marketplace. New installations of cPanel come with a 15-day free trial. For further use beyond that point, a valid license will need to be purchased directly through cPanel. https://store.cpanel.net/view/cpanel/license-options?type=VPS

Hope this helps!
