Question

Can't connect to my DigitalOcean server after a while

I don’t remember the exact date but about 10 - 12 days ago I got a droplet and installed Ubuntu 20.04. After installation with XRDP, I was connecting without any problem, but after a while (5 - 7 days) Remote Desktop on my Windows stopped connecting. Then I thought it was related to Ubuntu’s XRDP service and reset my droplet and installed windows, but I still can’t connect to my droplet with Remote Desktop. I am connecting with Recovery Console without any problem.

The error I get is as follows:

Remote Desktop can’t connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:

  1. Remote access to the server is not enabled
  2. The remote computer is turned off
  3. The remote computer is not available on the network

did you ever find a solution? This has been happening to me for the past month and I’ve tried everything

I have tha same problem. It doesn’t matter what type of droplet I start, I can access via remte desktop for about a day and then not at all. Surely this is something that should be addressed?

Same problem. I tried with the snapshot and it works and after 1 day again same can’t connect again I take snapshot of same droplet and create new one with the snapshot and again able to connect to the droplet via rdp but again 1 day, can’t connect. What is going on. I don’t understand. Need help.
