Can't connect to server error when trying to access domain

Hi,

I've set up the DigitalOcean nameservers and I've tried to ping my domain (soldierist.co) and I get a response... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You may need to wait for a while until the nameserver changes take hold.

Is 95.85.4.247 your droplet's IP address? DNS is working properly but it looks like there's nothing listening on port 80 on 95.85.4.247.

Yes, that is the IP address... Where should I configure the port?

  • Have you installed Apache/LAMP Stack? If so, you can try starting apache2 manually:

    sudo service apache2 start
    # or
    sudo service httpd start
    

    Otherwise, take a look at DigitalOcean's LAMP tutorials.

    • Hey, I have the same problem but I am not running apache. I am using nginx. My nginx is running but maybe not on port 80, although I set the listening port to 80. Can you suggest anything, I am trying since last night.
