I’m trying to delete the standard index file and give myself permissions to do so using ssh. It says it deleted the files successfully but nothing happens and the files don’t disappear. I’m using ProFTPD. Any ideas?

Check the ProFTPD logs and see if there are any errors. Make sure your user has permission to delete the file.
