can't find a place to add MX record

December 29, 2014 915 views

hello all: I've installed iRedMail, but when I tried to follow this link (https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-iredmail-on-ubuntu-12-04-x64) to add MX record, I can't find it under the DNS tab in my control panel.

I actually used another vendor's DNS server for my domain name translation. I don't know how to migrate to DO's DNS servers.

Thanks,
Jon

If not using DO dns you just need to add the MX record to your current host. Instructions will very depending on who is hosting your dns. Moving you dns to DO in not required!

If you want to try to migrate to DO dns try the following link.

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-a-host-name-with-digitalocean It has full instructions to create the various types of records.

This article explains how to manage your DNS records using the DigitalOcean Control Panel and can help you decide if DigitalOcean's DNS management tools are right for your situation.
