In the screenshot you’ve provided, you have run
curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer > sudo php -- --install-dir=/usr/local/bin --filename=composer
.What you need to run, as you’ve stated in your question, is
curl -sS https://getcomposer.org/installer | sudo php -- --install-dir=/usr/local/bin --filename=composer
.Notice that the
>
has become|
.Running that should then correctly install composer for you. For more information about getting composer installed, you can read the documentation on their site: https://getcomposer.org/download/
