Hi there @sagarpatil,

We do not have the native ability to migrate Droplets outside our platform.
Unfortunately, we also really don’t have any straightforward instructions on how to migrate a Droplet to a new host.

However, we do have a 3 part tutorial series which covers most of the things in terms of migrating a Linux server. Whilst this is not Droplet specific is should be a good starting point if you are ever needing to migrate hosts.

Hope that helps!
- Matt.

  • Hi Matt,

Since your answer above have any docs been written on migrating a Droplet to a new host. I would really like to run Droplet locally on my laptop using VMware and then update it from the original when needed. Is this possible with Digital Ocean tools or any third party tools?
