Cannot connect to the server

I’ve just create a new droplet. But i can’t connect to the server neither by console access nor by PuTTY on Windows 10. I’ve added SSH key. The console access showed “Server disconnected (code: 1006)” and PuTTY showed “Network error: Conection timed out”. How can i solve this problem?

  • This is a tough situation to be in, especially if the console doesn’t work. I have never been able to get the console to work for me, either. I once got blocked for a couple of days from my droplet because my IP got logged by CSF.

    My suggestion would be to delete the PuTTY configuration (keep the private key safe, though), recreate it and try again. Also check if you are connecting to the default Port 22, which might not be the case if you have changed the SSH config to a different port.
