Is MySQL running?
sudo service mysql start
  • yes it is running, I can enter in my ip/phpmyadmin and I get to the login but every time I put in the password it fails. Also, when I went through the setup and stepped through the setup wizard the db-config kept failing and wouldn’t let me select auto config. I get the following error

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user ‘root’@'localhost’ (using password: YES)

............. then choices abort, retry, retry (skip questions), Ignore

Also, this is on a wordpress droplet
