cannot open gnome-terminal

Getting StartedInitial Server SetupUbuntu 18.04

I installed gnome-terminal via apt-get, its needed by my project

When I type gnome-terminal to open it, it sends an error:
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
# Failed to parse arguments: Cannot open display:

What can I do?

  • Now I’m added a new user to system, gave him a root privileges, set up a vncserver, but now I cannot connect to my server via ssh, when I’m running droplet via browser, I log in to my account, and after that server freezes

You should be able to sort the issue by running:

export DISPLAY=:0.0

before invoking the program itself.
