Hi! CentOS 7 being only available in the x64 flavour, and x64 applications being known to use more RAM than x32 ones, is it safe to install it on a 512Mb droplet ? Or should I stick with CentOS 6.5 x32 ? Will the droplet limits be reached more quickly with the CentOS 7 x64 version ?

I would vote for CentOS 6.6… Mind you 6.5 is been updated to 6.6…
I am not expert but they say x64 is only beneficial when you have at-least more than 2GB of RAM…
So better to stick with CentOS 6.6 x32…
Thx for your point of view hunky. Even if RHEL will never have a x32 version, I have heard that centOS may have one … one day. So I am going to stick with the 6.6 x32. If a 7 x32 version comes out soon, I’ll use it. And if my small app has to grow, I’ll use a stronger server with a lot of RAM and the 7 x64 version.
