I had a A domain record pointing to a Droplet. Then I destroyed that, created a load balancer and created a new Droplet within that load balancer. But now I can’t create a new SSL certificate so the site dosen’t work…

As your domain name is now pointing to the load balancer, you could issue an SSL by following the steps here:
