Question

Change wp-admin directory passsword?

Posted September 19, 2014 2.2k views

Hi the Digital Ocean users,
I’m up and running with my first DO Droplet - a Wordpress install.
The HTPASS on the wp-admin directory seems to have been changed from its original configuration, and I’m lost as to where to find it to change or remove…
Any insights?

The .htpasswd file is stored in /etc/apache2/.htpasswd.

You mean your password to access wordpress back end? if so you can change the password on phpmyadmin under the users table. Make sure you use md5 hash to encrypt your password such as this one mdhash generator
