Changed ipaddress of a droplet

and updated DNS also but when i ping my domain it still points to the old ipaddress.

i think it was not updated before, well it is working fine now thanks :)

If it still points to the old address either the changes didn’t propagate yet (it doesn’t depend on you; some places take up to 48h to fully propagate) or you forgot remove the records at the place where you used to manage your site DNS records.

If these records remain active you’ll be doing an unintentional Round Robin DNS, serving the page from the old ip some times and from the new at others.
