What is the reason for this report?

Changing all folders and file permission together.

can anyone tell me how can i set permission for all folders to 755 and all files to 644 for my site?

i dont want to do that manually each by each. im on ubuntu 14.04.

What permissions would YOU recommend then?

Just for your website? If you want to change everything to www-data use:

Directories:

find /var/www/html/ -type d -exec chmod 755 {} +

Files:

find /var/www/html/ -type f -exec chmod 644 {} +
