I’ve just created a blank django project and a db in Digital ocean. I want to connect to my IDE (IntelliJ) where I have a running version of my app now, and I want to migrate the db to the application on Digital Ocean by connecting remotely from my computer. I’m getting
django.db.utils.OperationalError: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host “db-postgresql-nyc3-62876-do-user-10535591-0.b.db.ondigitalocean.com” (184.108.40.206) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 25061?
I have my computers’ IP in the accepted list of the Postgres server. I cannot connect with my IDE, PGadmin or DBeaver – all give exactly the same message. I’m behind a corporate firewall, but my proxy is configured correctly.
I’d really like to get over the hump on this connection issue so I can start actively developing, but I’m stuck. What’s the simplest way to get this working correctly?
