Connecting to ExpressVPN, some Contries seem blocked By DigitalOcean

Hi am connecting I’m using a digtialocean droplet and connecting to expressvpn via openvpn. It seems that some countries are blocked even though in my local machine seems to connect fine.

sudo openvpn --config my_expressvpn_albania_udp.ovpn --daemon

^ when i do curl it does not connect but

sudo openvpn --config my_expressvpn_los_angeles_udp.ovpn --daemon

curl it does connect.

is digitalOcean blocking this some IP addresses from certain countries?

I believe that it is not DigitalOcean that is blocking any countries specifically, but the local ISPs in those countries are blocking DigitalOcean.

You could try reaching out to your IPS and ask them to lift the block.

You can also run an mtr or a traceroute to figure out where exactly the connection is being dropped.
