Connection Timed Out errors after loading from snapshot

Hello folks,

Sorry, I’m new to DigitalOcean and server management in general. I seem to have hit the brick wall of my experience/understanding. My website,, is getting “Connection Timed Out” errors. I’ve restarted apache/httpd, verified DNS settings are correct, and I’ve power cycled/rebooted my droplet. It was working before but I decided to turn on backups so I had to save image and create a droplet from the new image and select enable backups.

I’m running ubuntu 14.04 x 64, using the wordpress application install.

What is the IP of your droplet?

  • I should have thought about it, but new droplet = new IP, so I had to update the apache config + dns IP addresses to match the new droplet IP. Waiting for it to propagate now, but I imagine it’ll pop in soon.
