When creating droplets, Digital Ocean no longer gives the option NOT to add private networks, and now adds VPC networking by default with no options to turn this off.
I have no use or desire for private networking.
How do I create a droplet that does not use VPC?

Yes yes, my OP states that new droplets are placed into a VPC network by default.
And what I am trying to say, is that it seems disallowed to remove the droplet from those very same default VPC networks.
There is no option to delete default VPC networks.
I understand and can see I can remove it from a VPC network I have set up, but not for the default VPC networks DigitalOcean adds it to forcefully.
Hello there,
All Droplets created after 1 October 2020 are placed into a VPC network by default. You can no longer manually enable VPC networking on existing Droplets. You can migrate existing Droplets into VPC networks using Snapshots.
To destroy a VPC network, click Networking in the main menu, then click the VPC tab. In the VPC Networks tab, click the More menu of the VPC network you want to destroy and select Edit Settings. In the VPC network’s Settings tab, click Destroy VPC. In the confirmation window, click Confirm to destroy the VPC network.

Hi @jore,
Once you create the Droplet go to it’s management tab --> Network —> Private Network.
From there you can manage your Private Network and remove it if necessary.
