I am looking for Dice rolling plugin (command based) for Rocket.Chat. So user can type in message bar the number and the type of dice they want to roll, the chat will generate random number for user. I don’t exactly know where to start, do i need API+dice rolling script? Can someone give me suggestions and guidance on this? Or let me know if you know some similar plugin out there that can be integrated with chat.

There’s a hubot script that will do that for you. If you go to Rocket.Chat’s demo server, talk to hubot and say hubot roll 3d20 for rolling 3 20-sided dice.
