Did the DigitalOcean login page change? From Chrome and Edge, I’m first being prompted to click on a Captcha - “I’m not a Robot” on a page that doesn’t have any DigitalOcean branding. If I do that I’m taken to a DigitalOcean login page that looks different than normal.

I thought I was being phished but the URLs are from DigitalOcean (https://cloud.digitalocean.com/login). I’m not trusting that something wrong has happened.

I tried it from Opera and the normal DigitalOcean Login page came up.

Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Yes! We are currently in the process of testing a new version and will be making some final tweaks before we enable for all customers. During this testing period, you might experience different versions of the login page depending on the device you are using to access the control panel, but rest assured that both of these are valid.

  • Please please please do not use Google recaptcha.

It’s blocked in mainland China and you would be blocking your entire service to all Chinese residents.

  • Hi Roger, thanks for the update. Just some feedback. Can you send out an email to your user base to let everyone know about the changes? The way the Captcha page and login page looks, it appears that DigitalOcean’s website has been hijacked and isn’t trustworthy.

    • Appreciate the feedback. We are going to update the challenge page design so it isn’t such a harsh transition and we will not fully launch the new version until that happens. We’ll also make sure this is included on our release notes page and in our newsletter. Thanks!
