Different pages/areas on sub domains with WP

Posted November 22, 2014 2k views

I would like to run a sub domain where it takes you to a different area/page of the website e.g. takes you to the home, then takes you to a completely different page.

I have the sub domains set up so if you put them in the URL bar it sends you to the home page, I just want to make them point to somewhere else.

Still learning all this and not quite sure of all the terms etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey there,

You can point subdomains to a particular folder/URL with a redirect. Here is a tutorial that talks about redirects and how to use them with Apache and Nginx.

Happy coding,

HTTP redirects are used to redirect web site visitors to new locations when they request content. These are useful for a variety of reasons, whether permanent or temporary. This guide will demonstrate how to redirect visitors using Apache and Nginx.
