Digital Ocean planned hypervisor migration problem

Posted on January 20, 2017

Hi, Digital Ocean conducted a planned migration of my vm to a new hypervisor yesterday at 11pm UTC. The server hasn’t come back since and we can’t get SSH or web console access - the last bit of the console I managed to see appeared to be failing on some Digital Ocean scripts. I’ve raised a ticket but got no response can someone look into this ASAP?

@sammym

Have you tried booting or power cycling it from the control panel?

The community is staffed with DigitalOcean team members, though when it comes to physical server or Droplet issues, the support ticket queue is the best overall option since the majority of us who answer questions here in the community don’t work for DigitalOcean and do not have direct access to look in higher level issues.

Yep we power cycled a few times. I had to raise the question here as the support ticket wasn’t getting a response and the outage was affecting our business. It looks like it has magically resolved itself so I’m assuming someone in support did something

thanks

Sam
