Question

Discourse Setup Error - Easy setup is not so easy?

No matter if we follow the exact documentation, again and again, we get this message every time we try to launch. Any help? We have scoured google for 3 days now to no avail??? It is supposed to be easy to install Discourse!

root@iLoveJesusChrist:/var/discourse# ./launcher start app starting up existing container

  • /usr/bin/docker start app Error response from daemon: Cannot start container app: Error starting userland proxy: listen tcp 0.0.0.0:80: bind: address already in use FATA[0000] Error: failed to start one or more containers

I’d ask this as a new question – to make sure that it gets visibility within the Q&A :)

That did the trick (http://mdworld.nl/blog/mypc/2014/11/16/discourse-ubuntu/) but now I am trying to edit the file _discourse_javascript.html.erb

as I had to change the port form 80 to 8081 and I am not sure how to change oursite.com:8081 to just oursite.com

Any help?
