Hi @marosersa,

To create a Django droplet with MySQL, you’ll need to configure and install everything on your own. Saying ‘on your own’ seems a bit too frightening but it’s not exactly the case. There are a lot of DigitalOcean tutorials on how to install MySQL and create a Database USER and then other tutorials on installing Django.

In that regard, DigitalOcean have pretty good tutorials on it:

Here is a tutorial how to install Django with Nginx and Unicron:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-django-with-postgres-nginx-and-gunicorn-on-ubuntu-18-04

In the tutorial, it’s included a part of how to install PostgresSQL, skip that part, you won’t need it.

The next tutorial:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-mysql-on-ubuntu-20-04

Is solely created for helping you install MySQL and creating a USER with it. You can follow that tutorial and configure/install what you need.

KFSys
