dns, domain name point to github pages and subdomain to droplet not working

Posted October 10, 2013 5k views
I have added two A records via the control panel. domain = A @ (github pages ip) A (droplet) I have waited more than 24 hours but domain is not working. Can not ping it or do a nslookup on it. Is something wrong with how I have set up the 2 domains? Thanks Pieter

Hi Pieter,

have a look at this:

simply set your subdomain's DNS record to
A demo

Ha, how about that.
Assuming you're using DigitalOcean's DNS Manager, can work as well; so long as you add a dot at the end, i.e. See How To Set Up a Host Name with DigitalOcean.

By only specifying demo, DigitalOcean's DNS Manager appends automatically.

Yes I am using DigitalOcean's DNS Manager. I specified just demo now and all is well.
Thanks for the support.
