Hi I have my web hosting with another provider (godaddy), but my DNS are pointing here, what can I do to keep using this service and don’t lose my domain in my web hosting provider?

Hi @luxuryworldguides,

From your question I understand your domain’s registrar is GoDaddy. This is where you are keeping your domain. Now, you have two options to actually host your services here.

The first option would be using DigitalOcean’s nameservers. This means you’ll be able to manage your DNS from your DigitalOcean’s Control Panel. Luckily, DigitalOcean have a pretty good documentation on that here -

The second option would be using your GoDaddy’s Nameservers and hosting your DNS there but pointing your DNS records such as A,MX,CNAME here to your services with DigitalOcean.

Now if the above is actually still not 100% clear, please check out the following article : . It will guide you through the process of updating your DNS. It even has a section regarding GoDaddy and how you can change your DNS from there.

DNS is the naming system that is used to bind a domain name to a web server. In this guide, we will change the nameservers for a domain that we have registered and point it to a DigitalOcean Droplet.
