Question

DO-Agent: The repository 'main Release' does no longer have a Release file.

I get this email every day.

Subject: Cron <root@private> test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.daily )

/etc/cron.daily/do-agent:
E: The repository 'https://repos.insights.digitalocean.com/apt/do-agent main Release' does no longer have a Release file.

What’s changed with the do-agent and how do I fix this?

The DO-Agent was recently updated and a re-install is required.

A reinstall didn’t help, for what it’s worth.

Did you get anywhere with the ticket?

Hey there,

My name is Ethan from the Developer Support team here at DO.

If you don’t see this issue resolved by uninstalling/reinstalling the DO-Agent we’d love to know about that in a Support Ticket.

Any information you can provide on the error(s) received and steps taken to alleviate them, the better we can help.

Regards, Ethan | Developer Support Engineer II @ DO Support

I’ve been getting this email since upgrading to the new DO-Agent. Interestingly I don’t get any error if I execute /opt/digitalocean/do-agent/scripts/update.sh manually.

I’ve just tried reinstalling again, we’ll see if it’s fixed tomorrow…
