Question

Do I need to hide my droplet IP addresses in YouTube videos?

I know we don’t want the IP directly exposed to the internet. But does it matter if humans know it? I can’t find any comments on this.

Hello,

Sure. For such kind of things better use cloudflare for maskin the real IP in order to make it more safty.

If you are not masking your IP it is quite easy to find where a website is hosted. All you have to do is look at the server’s hostname. However, in some cases, things can be difficult as some use a firewall or a content delivery network. For example here you could check it out: https://besthostadvisor.com/who-is-hosting-this-website/

How to connect cloudflare to digitalocean here is the guide (How To Mitigate DDoS Attacks Against Your Website with CloudFlare):

I hope I help you.
