How are users supposed to help others when their comments often get flagged as spam? Twice this has happened to me… yesterday and just now. I can’t tell you how frustrating it is when you take the time and make the effort to help someone (I thought that is what having a good community is supposed to be about) and then the half an hour or however long it took to craft your response, just disappears into the abyss, marked as spam. Maybe its the heavy use of code or highlight stamps? but either way it’s damned annoying.
Of course I understand the need for spam filters, but there was nothing in my responses that should have triggered spam filters. Having spent so long crafting replies, to then be subjected to having to appeal to DO (or whatever the silly message is), is pretty crazy and if other users are like me, they simply won’t bother. It’s a shame really and makes me wonder just how many replies disappear into the spam abyss. It leaves the user that was seeking help without answer and the user that was trying to help, left feeling frustrated and likely to not even bother in future, thus not really providing such a great community.
Just a random rant…

Sorry about that! We’ve recently become an increased target for spam which has forced us to implement some stricter automatic spam filtering, unfortunately there are sometimes false positives. I’ve manually approved your posts, and it should now be visible to all.
