I need to understand in concrete terms does Digital Ocean support Session Affinity “sticky sessions” or not. I have ready both that it does and it does not. I am planning a large Meteor install and need to make sure it meets our requirements.

Hi,

DigitalOcean provides unmanaged hosting. So it’s up to you to configure your server the way you want. So while DO doesn’t provide an out of the box load balancing solution with session affinity, it’s certainly possible to set it up on top of DO. You’d need to use something like HAProxy.

Let us know how it goes!
It would be very great if DigitalOcean provides load balancer. Having individual bandwiths for droplets does not sound nice for a load balancer.m
