What is the server root that you specified in your Web server's configuration file?
at least you need to mention what web server type you are running i.e Nginx or Apache so that we can guess what the issue is...

besides, it is better to give us a snapshot of your server config so that we know what the root file you setup...
Hey guys, Sorry, Im using LAMP / apache2

you guys mean my apache2.conf file?
Depends, what OS are you using?
What's the output of
sudo ls /etc/apache2/sites-enabled
2 domains and 1 subdomain listed there, the subdomain is working fine: , but the main domain: not working correctly, its showing me the index.html file at /var/www/ and not /var/www/

This tutorial shows you how to set up a new directory, how to grant the correct permissions, how to add content to a new page, how to turn on virtual hosting, and how to, if needed, set up local hosts. Virtual Hosts are used to run more than one domain off of a single IP address and allows you to run multiple sites off of a single DigitalOcean droplet. This tutorial describes how to set up virtual hosts with Apache.
