Question

Domain pointing to wrong app

My rails application is hosted using the Apps feature (basic tier). I had added my domain and got the confirmation that it is processed and is now managed by the Apps.

The .ondigitalocean.app url is working fine. My domain as also working fine for the first 1-2 days, but now it points to another website/app which is not owned by me. I cannot make any DNS modifications as that says the domain is managed by the Apps.

Hello @alokjain

App Platform will just add the required DNS records for your domain pointing to app. However, you should be able to manage the DNS records via cloud panel.

How to update the DNS record

In case your domain nameserver is pointing to an external nameserver then please reach out to them and update the DNS records.

If you are unable to figure it out then feel free to reach out to the support team and they will guide you in resolving this issue:
