Droplet got borked on 17.04 upgrade

Droplet got messed up on an attempted upgrade. Since we can no longer self-serve for bootup issues, the article said to contact support to enable a recovery ISO which I did. Currently waiting 6+ hours for a response.

Why is it taking so long for what should be a simple response?

Because you’re not paying for a support SLA. Why did you not make a snapshot before upgrading?
