I am trying to deploy Remark42 which uses a embedded BoltDB. Should I use Droplet or Kubernetes considering,

  • Price (starting at 5 USD/mo vs 10 USD/mo)
  • Security (Is Droplet / VPS less secure? Will have a problem with SSH cert in Kubernetes)

There doesn’t appear to be an inherent advantage of deploying Remark42 on a kubernetes cluster over a droplet. Both options can be secured within a VPC in addition to securing access with a firewall. SSH access to a kubernetes cluster is currently not provided however if that would be considered a blocker.
