Events for this Droplet are currently disabled while the hypervisor is under maintenance...

My droplet was unreachable from internet (ssh, ping, nothing responded). And so I was about to restart it from DO administration. I tried, but I received few error messages (that restart is impossible for some reason).

Then I tried to power off that droplet. Since I did so, I see this in my administration: Events for this Droplet are currently disabled while the hypervisor is under maintenance. It’s here for few hours. I have even raised a ticket to support with no answer.

What is going on ? I see no maintenance on DO status…

I have this exact issue except I am no longer going to be polite about issues like these with D.O. We are taking our business elsewhere.

We’ve been down now for 3 hours while running paid marketing campaigns to the sites that are down.

If you would suggest that we pause advertising, you have no idea what you are talking about, since pausing advertising or having sites be down would result in losing scoring of the campaign and increased click costs later.

If this company wasn’t ran by dolts we would all be better off.

Droplet is running…

I got this in my inbox:

We have identified an issue on the physical machine hosting one or more of your Droplets, which are listed below. In order to minimize disruption, we will be migrating the Droplets to a healthier physical machine. Throughout the migration, Control Panel and API events - including: power offs, resizes, and attempts to destroy the Droplet - will not succeed for the affected Droplet(s).

In order to minimize downtime, we will attempt to perform live migrations in all possible cases. A live migration would result in no downtime, but minor performance decreases in disk I/O and a second or less of packet loss as the network is switched over to the new physical host.

In the event that we are not able to perform a live migration of a Droplet, we will perform an offline migration during which the Droplet will be powered off and migrated offline during the window.

We apologize for any inconvenience and will be happy to answer any questions or concerns - simply reply to this email or open a support ticket on your account.
