Question

Faster load websites

Hi All,

I run a Wordpress website. I want it make faster load. But DO is running on SSD. Does it matter if i install APC on Apache and or do this in combination with W3 Total Cache Plugin?

The SSD is this flash drive fast enough and is it not needed to install APC and/or W3TC?

Greets Peter

You want both APC + Varnish. <br> <br>Alternative PHP Cache (APC) is an opcode cache for PHP. Its goal is to provide a framework for caching and optimizing PHP intermediate code. Varnish Cache, on the other hand, is a web application accelerator; also known as a caching HTTP reverse proxy.

Thanks… So APC uninstall and install Varnish, otherwise i have 2 cache applications running

If you want WordPress to load faster, dump Apache in favor of Nginx, e.g. <a href=“https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-install-wordpress-nginx-php-and-varnish-on-ubuntu-12-04”>How To Install Wordpress, Nginx, PHP, and Varnish on Ubuntu 12.04</a>. <br> <br>Also, I would agree w/Kamal that W3 Total Cache will increase performance, despite your site running on SSDs.
