I have setup a sftp connection to a droplet for uploading static files and directories. However, when I try uploading folders the contents insider of the folders does not upload. The only way to upload is to open each folder and drop the contents manually. Is there a setting or permission I am missing that allows recursive directory upload?

That’s strange. Uploading directories should work just fine with FileZilla. Are you getting any errors? Try a different client such as WinSCP or Cyberduck. Do those work?
