FlaskApp running and can be accessed via IP. Already went through the steps for configuring a domain name and not working? What should I do

Posted on October 9, 2017

I purchased a domain name from namespace and followed the instructions https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-point-to-digitalocean-nameservers-from-common-domain-registrars and changed the DNS servers. I then followed these instructions https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-serve-flask-applications-with-gunicorn-and-nginx-on-ubuntu-16-04 and was able to deploy my flask app without any errors. I can access my app when I type my IP address and when I check on What’s My DNS it says my domain name is associated with the correct IP address but whenever I try going to the domain name I get the default namespace page. I am really new to coding and any suggestions or ideas are welcome?
