For Digital Ocean 'App', besides 'Space', is there a way to store data on the server

I have deployed a Django app on DigitalOcean “Apps” which I have to admit is very handy.

The issue is that with a Django app in “debug mode = False”, there is no way to access locally stored data. Data which is dynamically created by user actions. The app is very much file intensive. Albeit very small files(less that 5kb)

So I created and modified the code to make use of S3 storage(DO Spaces)for the data. It works fine except it is way too slow.

So I looked around a bit and figured I should be using a droplet with nginx(is that correct?) which I would have to manage myself. Is there an alternative to spaces to improve the speed of my Django app without having to use droplets?

Hi @dickieripley,

Currently, only two data storage options are available with the App Platform. Managed Database and S3 for production use. You can use Dev Database for non-production use as well. You can find information related to that in the link below. How to Store Data in App Platform

No, other option is available for now. If there is any update related to that you can find it from our App Platform release page below. App Platform Release Notes
