Hi all,

For more information on how the July 2020 European Union Court of Justice ruling affect data transfer under the EU-US Privacy Shield, please visit the GDPR FAQ page here:

Hey DO-Team, people are still waiting for an answer, could you please update this post?

Hi there @itsc,

Thank you for reaching out to us! DigitalOcean takes privacy and our commitments seriously. We have been monitoring the recent changes to the Privacy Shield. Due to the sudden decision about Privacy Shield, we are assessing our options as a company and will provide you more information on our Trust Platform.

Would like an answer to this, too. Having a few customers already say they can’t sign contracts with us as long as one of our subcontractors operates under the now “illegal” privacy shield.

Any updates on this issue? Writing from a meeting about this very thing!

Waiting for an updates…

This is a good question that remains unanswered. The Digial ocean DPA is not updated accordingly to cover the latest regulation in the privacy shield.
