Can I make a suggestion to use Gogs instead of Gitlab? Resource usage is much smaller so that it can actually fit on a 512mb droplet.

We’ve definitely had a look at Gogs. We’re big fans of Go here, and use it quite extensively in our own infrastructure. Gogs is coming along really well, and we’re planning on providing a tutorial on using and installing it. Though we don’t have any plans to provide a One-Click image for it right now, and there’s a lot of demand for the GitLab image. So we definitely won’t be removing it.
We use UserVoice for feature requests and to gauge user demand. You might want to open a request there so other can vote to show their support.
