I am getting a heap size error on Apache Tomcat for a Java web application. Even after changing the memory size allocation, I am still getting the error message. The value goes back to the default value. As the ubuntu installation has come from the creation of the droplet. I am hoping that DO can hep me with this.

What size droplet are you using? It sounds like you are running out of memory. If you can’t upgrade to one with more RAM, you probably want to add a swap file. Check out this article:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-add-swap-on-ubuntu-12-04
