Do I have to assign a hostname? Or can I just use the default @ A record? Are there any benefits or purposes that I should be assigning a hostname other than @ for the A record.

It’s ok, I looked further down on that link i posted and there are comments asking the same questions. So now I have found that I can just leave the @ A record and not have to declare a hostname. Thanks.
