Question

Help installing Zimbra + Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Posted June 28, 2013 11.6k views
Does anybody have a solid tutorial on Zimbra installation? I've tried just about ten different tuts and always end up with a random issue during install that causes it to not start etc.

I never used Zimbra, but I found these resources that might help you:

http://files.zimbra.com/website/docs/8.0/Zimbra_OS_Quick_Start_8.0.2.pdf

Let me know if that helps.
I may be a bit premature in saying this, but it appears that a 1Gb droplet or less droplet will run out of memory during installation. Testing on a 2Gb droplet atm... will report back.
Yes. Zimbra required 2GB few years ago when I tried it.
Have you ever considered SOGo, in lieu of Zimbra?
I am using Zimbra for the last 5 years and I must say its solid .Zimbra installation guide http://www.zimbra.com/support/documentation/zcs-ne-documentation.html#zcs-ne-8-0 would be enough for installing.
Please post if you solve it?

Zimbra is an easy to use piece of unified collaboration software. Being one of the best free, open source collaboration software available, Zimbra includes email, calendaring, file sharing, activity streams, social communities and much more! Zimbra comes in two different forms: a free open source edition and a paid version.
